ATIC-CCEC Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) Debates 7/15/08 & 9/15/08:
ATIC is pleased to have again produced a series of debates for the
Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) candidates with support from the
Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission (CCEC) and other partner organizations.
Primary Debates for the three open seats were held on
Tuesday, July 15, 2008 for the Democratic candidates in the morning and Republican candidates in the afternoon. A
General Election Debate was held on
Monday, September 15, 2008 for all Democratic and Republican candidates on the ballot.
The debates covered all issues under the jurisdiction of the
Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) - Utilities Regulation, Corporations and Securities Oversight, and Railroad and Pipeline Safety. A live audience participated at Rio Salado College in Tempe and attended the Candidate receptions following the debates. Following, the public can access the Webcasts in real-time and on-demand, view the debates on Cox Cable Channel 7 and other cable systems throughout the state, and view individual debate segments on Cox video on demand. ATIC Announces Associate Role:
ATIC after some lengthy deliberations has decided to remain an advocacy and policy group, rather than become a membership organization, and has created the role of
ATIC Associates to encourage formal involvement by our stakeholders. By opting in, you will receive in addition to this calendar and occasional event notices, the agendas and minutes of our Board meetings and occasional special announcements and offers. Over 200 individuals actively participate in our meetings and committees and have so far opted to be ATIC Associates. If you would also like to opt in as an ATIC Associate, please let us know via
